As the Boat Show is fast approaching, lots of exciting things are happening at Wetwheels Jersey HQ.
Work on the fundraising pack has been completed and you will be able to pick one up at the Wetwheels Jersey stand at the boat show. The pack contains all you need in order to organise your very own event to raise funds for us. We have also been busy finalising Wetwheels Jersey merchandise, from pencils to tee-shirts, teddy bears and mugs, which will also be available at the Boat Show.
We're happy to have some new members join the Wetwheels Jersey family - look out for them as we'll need help from youngsters to name them, with a special prize for the person that comes up with the winning names, more details will be announced soon.
Another piece of great news is that Wetwheels fundraising has increased to £110,000 following an £18,000 award from the LloydsTSB Foundation. We're almost there now and the Boat Show should bring us closer to that all important target! We can't rest on our laurels however as we need to raise enough funds to ensure we can operate for as many days of the year as possible and maximise the number of passengers who can experience life afloat.
We've also teamed up with HMS Iron Duke, Jersey's affiliated warship which will bring some really exciting opportunities whenever the Royal Navy pay a visit to the island. Members of her crew will be on hand at the Boat Show to help us out and raise funds. The original Wetwheels will be back for the event, taking over a hundred local disabled and disadvantaged passengers to sea.
Finally, Wetwheels Jersey is now on social media; follow @WetwheelsJersey on twitter or like us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/WetwheelsJersey) to be kept up to date with all the latest news and photos.
